Regarding the Primary Duty of the Position
• Assisting PHCU and woredas in organizing and carrying out nutrition screening programs;

• Ensuring that communities and HF have functional referral channels and connections, and vice versa;
• Encouraging the provision of services that recipients can be referred to, as well as staff training in nutrition screening and referral services;
• Ensuring that HFs have the minimal supplies (MUAC tapes, registration and reporting format, referral forms, guidelines, etc.) required for nutrition screening activities;
• Endorsing and facilitating community mobilization and education campaigns regarding nutrition screening initiatives.
• Encourage and help PHCUs and Woreda Health Offices in their Family MUAC approach pilot program.
• Put into practice and offer technical assistance for TSFP (food distribution), IDP site preparation, community mobilization, and nutritional screening for both hosts and IDPs.
• Every week, conduct supportive supervision and offer technical assistance at the sites of the outpatient therapeutic program and stabilization centers;
• Verify that the distribution of TSF rations and protection is linked to OTP discharges, MAM children, and acutely malnourished PLW (If applicable);
• Print, laminate, and supply the OTP/SC protocols and guidelines required to run OTP/SC, as well as photocopies for additional related activities;
Protect, promote, and assist the Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) program throughout the health system, including in healthcare facilities. In collaboration with IYCF team members, place a special emphasis on expanding the availability and integration of IYCF counseling services.
• Verify that job aids (HEW quick reference, Look up table, report format, tally sheet, Plump nut and drug stock control balance form) are available in health posts.
• Assure that IYCF is incorporated into CMAM programming by bolstering the psychosocial and emotional domains, promoting IYCF, and providing counseling to designated team members.

Concerning You
Necessary Certification, licensure, training, and registration
• A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university or health college in Public Health, Clinical Nursing, Nutrition, or a related health field of study is preferred.
Necessary Work Experience
• A minimum of three years of NGOs’ work experience required for the CMAM program;
Certificates in:
• Integrated Pharmaceuticals Logistics System (IPLS) training; • Acute malnutrition 2019 revised guideline training;
• TSFP/MAM and revised 2019 IMAM guideline training;
favored Proficiency and Credentials
• Proficiency, education, and hands-on training in managing MAM and SAM in the presence or absence of medical complications
• Exhibited proficiency in the planning, execution, and monitoring of CMAM programs. familiarity with the cascading family MUAC method.
• Proven capacity to function well in a group setting.
• Solid interpersonal abilities.
• The ability to work long hours and under pressure

Requirements for Travel and/or Work Environment
• Willingness to labor in OTP, TSFP, and SC centers

Language Requirements
• It helps to know the local language and English.
